Ms Gog Soon Joo
Executive Director

Formerly Director of Quality Assurance Division at WDA, Soon Joo is one of the founding members of the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualification System. She has extensive involvement with the development of the WSQ system. Prior to joining WDA, Soon Joo spent large part of her career in hospitality industry and as academic staff with Temasek Polytechnic.

She holds a Master in Tourism Administration from George Washington University and Bachelor degree in Economics from University of London. Her research interest is policy impact and adult’s agency in continuing education and training.


Mr Koh Tat Suan
Director, Training Services

Tat Suan holds a Master in Educational Management from the University of Western Australia, a Diploma in Training and Development from SIM and the Institute of Personnel Development (UK). Retiring after 22 years in the SAF, he then joined the Ministry of Education, Personnel Division, and was involved in both human resource management and development functions.

In WDA, he has been overseeing the development and operation of the Generic Skills Framework under the Singapore WSQ System.


Mr Norris Wong
Director, Professional Development Services

With over 20 years experience in the private, public and academic sectors, Norris was formerly the Director of Creative Industries Singapore Division at MICA. The majority of his career has been in Product Design and Development, R&D and Innovation Services.

He spent 8 years in the academic sector as Assistant Professor at the School of Design as well as Programme Manager of the Higher Diploma in Product Innovation Technologies at Hong Kong Polytechnic University.


Ms Renée Tan
Deputy Director, Training Services

Renée was previously Deputy Director, School of Communication, Arts and Social Sciences, Singapore Polytechnic, chairing the Communication Skills Programme Management Team.

She was also Functional Leader of the Business Communication Centre, which was the school’s corporate arm, developing and conducting short courses for corporate clients. She holds a Master and Bachelor (Hons) of Arts in English from NUS and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from NIE.
