What is this programme about?

In the competitive field of online education, it is important for training facilitators to be confident and competent, and be able to make the most of the digital learning environment. The lack of face-to-face interaction can mute the facilitator’s personality, which gives learners the impression that the facilitator is underdelivering, unprepared, or lacking in necessary skills. If participants are unfamiliar with online learning,  the overall experience can be a negative one. Trainers and educators must be at the top of their game and consistently deliver high quality education in order to stand out and thrive in this expanding arena. While there are several digital tools available, it can be a challenge to know which one is best suited to any given situation.

This session will introduce the basics of easy-to-use and reliable digital tools, including Classroomscreen, EDPuzzle, Emaze, FlipGrid, Go Conqur, Pear Deck, QR-Code Generator, Quillionz, Quizlet, Seesaw, Team Shake, and ThingLink, all of which can bring variety to virtual courses. These highly accessible tools are an effective way of adding value to your training sessions even when used at a basic level. For those who wish to become more proficient, the developers of each tool have created comprehensive resources to allow users to continue to develop their ability as required.

In this full-day interactive session, you will be introduced to 12 different digital tools that can enhance your online teaching sessions. Through first-hand experience, collaborative activities, and expert guidance from your experienced programme leader, you will have the opportunity to get to grips with each tool and learn how it can be incorporated into learning delivery. In addition to discovering the impact, relevance, and ease of use of these tools, you will also learn how to use a system of evaluation to ensure you choose the correct tools for your sessions. Through the careful and skilful application of these tools, you will breathe new life into your online teaching practice, facilitating memorable sessions that engage learners continuously.

Please note that no form of recording is permitted during this session. All copyrights and trademarks are to be respected at all times.
