What is this programme about?


In this 3-Day classroom facilitated face-to-face workshop supplemented by self-directed E-learning, learners will be able to use google tools to create a learning experience.


The Training and Adult Education Industry Transformation Map (TAEITM) emphasizes blended learning, which integrates classroom, workplace and technology to enhance learning accessibility, effectiveness and productivity.


There are a host of free google features which is available for AEs to adopt.  Most AEs are aware of some of the google tools available, but are unable to create a meaningful learning experience.  The programme is designed to introduce the range of Google tools such as Google Drive, Google Classroom, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms, Google Slides, Google Drawings, Google Sites, Google Groups, Google Hangouts, personalising Chrome apps and extensions to enhance learning. Using Horton’s Absorb-Do-Connect as a model to create the learning experience, learners will be guided to create a learning experience using the range of google tools covered.  After understanding the features of the tools, learners should be able to pick the appropriate tools to incorporate into your learning design.


The knowledge and abilities to be covered will enable learners to implement and integrate learning technology into the facilitation of learning experiences using Google’s suite of products.


PRE-REQUISITE: As a pre-requisite to this 3-Day workshop, participants must be proficient in the use of technology.  


What does it cover?


At the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Select the appropriate Google tools to incorporate into their classroom/workplace learning sessions
  • Implement a learning experience using Google Classroom as the learning platform
  • Resolve disruptions and challenges during the learning delivery
  • Assess learning using Google Tools

Pre-Day 1 Classroom: Self-directed e-learning

2 Learners will go through their own through e-learning hosted on IAL’s Canvas platform to get ready and adopt the right mindset on the use of technology for learning. They will have to go through an overview on the google tools which will be introduced.

Day 1: Face-to-face classroom facilitated learning


Learners will be introduced to what encompass the design of a good learning experience, understand the objectives and profile of learners when planning the implementation of technology in class. Using the Absorb-Do-Connect model for activities, they will start planning for the creation of their learning experience delivery.

Learners will have the opportunity to work through Google Tools and select the appropriate tools for their lesson delivery

Post Day 1 Classroom: Self directed e-learning


Learners will have the opportunity to go through self-learning on the range of google tools they want to use. They will have to create some learning activities using the tools.

Day 2: Face-to-face Classroom Facilitated Learning


In this session, learners will have to create assessment for the lesson delivery using Google Forms and Assignments in Google Classroom. They will start building the learning experience, using Google classroom as the platform.

Post Day 2 Classroom: Individual Assignment Activity


Learners will have to implement their learning experience and interact with users during the implementation.

This will form Part 1 of the assessment requirement.

Day 3: Face-to-face Classroom Facilitated Learning cum Assessment 7

Learners will present their project to the class, obtain feedback and enhance their individual learning projects.

About the speaker


Eunice Lim (Ms)

Director | RE Training & Consultancy Pte Ltd

Eunice Lim is the managing director of RE Training & Consultancy Pte Ltd and an adjunct Adult Educator with Institute of Adult Learning.


She is an enterprising Specialist Adult Educator who made a bold move as a freelancer in TAE sector after leaving her full-time career where she established and managed a successful training centre. Eunice advocates the use of technology to make work more efficient, and is often seen by her peers to be a tech advocate.  Today, she contributes to the TAE community, imparting her expertise as an AE and a SkillsFuture Mentor.


Eunice holds a Master of Arts in Professional Education with National Technological University, Singapore/National Institute of Education, Master of Science in Real Estate Investment and Finance from Herriot Watt University in United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Business in Business Administration from RMIT University in Australia.  She also holds a Specialist Diploma in Advance Facilitation (SDAF), Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE) and an Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA). She’s also a Certified Workplace Learning Specialist, Certified DiSC Trainer, Certified Practising Management Consultant (PMC) and Google for Education Certified Trainer.
