Background 

 

The Institute for Adult Learning (IAL) is conducting a study on workplace discrimination, harassment and injury in Singapore to:

• better understand the state of workplace discrimination, harassment, and injury in Singapore and, in particular, their impact on career trajectories and employment vulnerability; and

• provide better support for individuals and companies on navigating any challenges faced in workplace discrimination, harassment, and injury in order to ensure fair, inclusive and safe work practices and work environment.

 

Call for Participation 

 

We are seeking participants who are professionals or managers working in locally registered companies, voluntary organizations, private sector agencies, and government agencies with at least one year experience in matters related to recruitment, employee relations, workplace DHI policies, etc. We would like to hear your views, opinions, and experiences on policies and practices on workplace discrimination, harassment, and injury such as:

• Discriminatory hiring, firing or promotion practice (e.g. due to age, race, religion, gender, pregnancy and not due to skills or ability)

• Workplace bullying

• Sexual harassment

• Workplace accident, injury or health issues due to the job

• Cyberbullying or other online harassment from employers or colleagues

• Physical or mental abuse at work

• Any other forms of workplace discrimination, harassment and injury

Note: Interested persons must satisfy the screening criteria for participation. Non-identifiable data without names will be used in the analysis. Incentives are given after full completion of online survey.
