(Updated 23 Sep 2021)
In view of the increasing trend of COVID-19 cases in Singapore, and the potential continued surge in cases over the coming weeks, IAL has decided to shift all training, assessment and coaching sessions online to protect our learners, adult educators and staff.
From Monday, 27 September 2021, all scheduled training, assessment and coaching sessions will be conducted fully online, until further notice. This is applicable to the following programmes:
More details on the latest changes to learning arrangements will be sent to all learners and adult educators via email. IAL will continue monitoring the evolving situation and provide timely updates via our email and web channels in the event of any changes.
The likelihood of detecting a positive case within our community has increased with the new wave of transmissions. The following precautionary measures are in place at IAL should a positive case be detected:
As an added precautionary measure, all learners, adult educators and IAL staff with flu-like symptoms, as well as those who have been placed on Quarantine Order or Stay-Home Notice (including household members) would not be permitted onto IAL's premises.
Learners who have received health risk alerts or health risk warnings are encouraged to monitor their health closely, comply with isolation requirements and undergo mandatory ART / swab tests as advised by the Ministry of Health. Learners are required to declare any confirmed exposure they have had with COVID-19 to IAL at firstname.lastname@example.org, for further advice on learning arrangements.
TraceTogether-only SafeEntry continues to be implemented at various entry points within the Lifelong Learning Institute (main entrance at Level 1) and within the IAL premises (entrances at Level 5, 6 and 7). All learners, adult educators, staff and visitors are required to turn on your mobile phone’s Bluetooth and TraceTogether app, or carry around your TraceTogether token at all times.
The dedicated TraceTogether-only SafeEntry QR codes are situated at the following entry/exit points in IAL's premises:
To protect the safety of everyone on the premises, regular sanitisation will be carried out once every 2 hours, especially at high touch areas.
