The 6 Principles of Learning Design

The 6 Principles of Learning Design is a conceptual framework developed by IAL’s Research Centre for Work and Learning (CWL) as part of a research project – which sought to understand how assessment design and practices could be shaped or enhanced to meet changing policy and workforce development needs.

The study delved into how different contexts mediate assessment design and practices, through the experience of learners, adult educators, curriculum designers and employers. 

This conceptual framework aims to assist Adult Educators in thinking about how to design and facilitate learning holistically, so that doing and knowing are integrated.
