What is this programme about?


With the advancement in Immersive technology, Augmented reality and Virtual reality solutions have become a primary component of the Digital transformation strategy in companies especially in this new normal. Even though the current use and application of these technologies has been in operation optimization for improving productivity and efficiency, the focus has now expanded for AR/VR to be applied for digital knowledge capture and visualization, workforce training and employee engagement. This evolving trend has raised the need for HR/L&D leaders and practitioners to be ready and equipped with skills and knowledge in extended reality technologies to support the organization in the adoption of AR/VR/MR in the workplace. 

This 3-hour session provides HRD/L&D leaders and practitioners the fundamental knowledge and exposure to Immersive technology (AR/VR/MR) and their working principles, with key insights and use case examples to illustrate the exploration, adoption and deployment of extended reality solutions to support workplace training and operational engagement.



What does it cover?


By the end of the workshop, learners will be able to:

  • Describe the learning ecosystem in the New Norm with digital adoption driving the change
  • Differentiate between Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality; the concept and working principles
  • Identify different AR/VR/MR technologies and tools, and their capabilities for learning and workforce development
  • Identify cases and best practices of AR/VR/MR solutions in learning and workforce development
  • Recognize considerations and limitations on implementing AR/VR/MR solutions as part of a learning strategy

  • Adult Education: Individuals involved in the activities of learning design, curriculum development, learning facilitation, assessment of learning competence, learning technology integration and providing consultancy and advisory services to drive business performance
  • Learning Management: Individuals involved in the management and support of learning programmes, systems and technology management and implementation, quality assurance of learning programmes and driving business development
  • Individuals involved in Training and Adult Education (TAE) who need to gain an understanding and be equipped on using Immersive technology application for workforce learning and development interventions

Kindly note that the system will automatically cancel the registration if full payment  has not been successfully processed by 11.59pm (Singapore Time) on the same day of the registration. You will have to reapply for the course, subject to availability of vacancy at the point of your re-registration.

Request for withdrawal from a programme is subjected to review by IAL and the decision is final. IAL reserves the right to request for supporting document(s). A non-refundable administration fee of S$53.50 (inclusive of GST) is applicable for withdrawal request. If the withdrawal notice is given less than 2 weeks before the programme start date, the paid fees will not be refunded.

For dedicated corporate runs with a contract signed with IAL, billing and payment will follow the terms of the signed contract. Otherwise, payment would be expected upon registration.

He has worked in senior management roles regionally and globally for top technology companies (Motorola, Nokia and Microsoft) mainly in leading and driving the strategic people and capability development of the business.

As a consultant, Bala has worked with MNCs and SOEs in the Insurance, Petrochemical, Building, Railway, Banking, Medical and IT Industries across UK, APAC, US and MEA in various consulting and solution provider capacity focused in organizational, leadership capability development and digital workforce transformation.

Bala is AEP recognised and a ACLP qualified trainer, supporting SSG SkillsFuture movement on Digital Workforce Transformation.

He is an International Speaker on the transformation of learning and workforce development for the Digital and Social age.
