What is this programme about?

When your learners hear information, they arelikely to remember only 10% of that information three days later. However, if a relevant image is paired with that same information, your learners retain 65% of the information three days later. As facilitators and adult eduators, we choose to provide as much information in  bullet points as possible, while others choose to use abstract images to deliver key messages.

We use multimedia to complement our instruction in many teaching contexts, whether we use PowerPoint during a face-to-face session to help your learners understand an abstract concept, short video lectures in an online course, or graphics in a textbook.

Through Professor Richard E. Mayer 12 Multimedia Design Principles, that was backed with years of research efforts resulted in major discoveries that graphics and animations provide an effective learning experience.

This session aims to help you create more engaging and effective multimedia resources for your learners. From the Multimedia Design Principles, Mr Barry be sharing evidence-based principles to design learning materials that are in alignment with how learners learn and process information.

Notice: Learners are encouraged to bring your own Powerpoint slides to make the experience more authentic.
