The purpose of this research is to focus on adult educators’ career trajectories and professional identities in this dynamic landscape. Little is known about these aspects, which seemingly have direct implications for the engagement in the professionalisation agenda and the quality of training. A greater understanding of career trajectories and professional identity will shed light on how adult educators are engaging in their work, the support they currently seek or need, as well as their future intentions.
