Past InnovJAM Highlights

Adaptive Learning (April to June 2018)

Adaptive Learning can personalise an individual’s learning journey, making the experience a more meaningful one for the learners. InnovJAM Adaptive Learning explores on how Predictive and Learning Analytics, Chatbots and Cognitive Science-based Learning can be applied into the CET landscape where L&D Professionals, training providers and institutes of higher learning can look at transforming their course delivery.

An Adaptive Learning InnovJAM was held where 4 sharings on "Predictive Analytics", "Learning Analytics", "Cognitive Science-based Learning" and "Chatbots" were conducted by our partners: botbot.ai, CognaLearn, CXS, Dioworks and KobKred respectively. Training sessions were held to allow our Training Providers and Adult Educators to equip themselves with the relevant skills-set related to Adaptive Learning.

Experiential Learning (January to March 2018)

Known as one of the more effective ways to learn skills and concepts through ‘doing’, Experiential Learning explores on how learning can be augmented with technology.

An ‘Appmazing Race’ style InnovJAM was held to showcase how Experiential Learning can be delivered using Augmented Reality and Location-based technologies. In addition, there were 2 sharing sessions on "The Application of Technologies in Experiential Learning" and "The future trend of Experiential Learning" by LDR Technology Pte Ltd Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC, A*STAR). Training sessions were held to allow our Training Providers and Adult Educators to equip themselves with the relevant skills-set related to Experiential Learning.

The Experiential Learning Contest acted as a closure for Experiential Learning, where solution providers worked on either of the challenge statements thrown out by our challenge owners (partners), AETOS Academy and Henderson Security Pte Ltd, and presented their solutions to them. Their presentation of the solutions were in turn, evaluated by our judges and voted by the public.

Outcome of the Event

A total of 6 teams participated in the contest to create learning objects for our partners, AETOS Academy and Henderson Security, showcasing how experiential learning can be applied to the security sector.
