What Is This Session About?

How do we turn a spark of an idea into a rich learning experience? This hands-on session explores Gemini as your creative partner to transform educational practice – from lesson design to learner engagement. Journey from brainstorming to pedagogical application and discover practical strategies to differentiate, spark inquiry, and design engaging lessons with AI.

What Does The Session Cover?

Terminal Learning Objective: At the end of the session, participants will be able to apply Gemini as a creative and pedagogical tool to design innovative, engaging and learner-centered educational experiences. Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Learning Outcome 1: Explore key features of Gemini and it’s potential applications for lesson design and learner engagement.
  • Learning Outcome 2: Experiment with Gemini to generate ideas and transform them into learning activities.

Who Is It Suitable For?

  • Adult Education: Individuals involved in learning design, curriculum development, learning facilitation, assessment, learning technology integration, or consultancy. 
  • Learning Management: Individuals in management and support of learning programs, systems, and quality assurance.
  • Human Capital Development (HCD): In-house L&D Staff involved in building employee capabilities to support business needs.

Eunice Lim is an Adjunct AE at IAL and runs her own learning consultancy that provides learning solutions to companies. With over 15 years of experience, she is an advocate for tech-enabled learning. She has influenced and mentored educators and several organisations across various industries to innovate and improve their learning and development capabilities.

A recipient for the SkillsFuture Fellowship award in 2021, Eunice academic credentials include a PhD in Education, with research focusing on enhancing social connectedness in the online learning environments. She completed her MA in Professional Education (NTU/NIE), a MSc in Real Estate Investment and Finance (Herriot-Watt University) and BBA in Business Administration (RMIT University). She also holds WSQ SDAF, DACE and ACTA qualifications.

Eunice is one of the Google Educator Group (GEG) Singapore leader, Google for Education Certified Innovator, Trainer as well as Certified DiSC Trainer and Co-Chair for Special Interest Group - Learning Technology under IAL’s Adult Educator Network (AEN) initiative.

Darren Tjan is a consultant, trainer and learning designer with over 20 years of experience working with individuals and organisations in the areas of learning, technology and performance.

 

He has consulted and trained a wide range of individuals from both the public and private sectors. This has given him valuable insight into the challenges, needs and operational objectives of different organisations in different industries.

 

Darren has also designed and developed government accredited training, customised training for multinational companies, eLearning courses, and also undertaken courseware quality assurance audits for a leading CET Centre.

 

He has worked with IAL for over a decade, and has facilitated various modules in the ACTA, ACLP, DACE and DDDLP programmes. Darren achieves much satisfaction in helping people maximise their potential in their lives.
