Design for Impact with Technology: A Deep Dive into UDL for Inclusive Learning

What Is This Session About?
By the end of the day, participants will be able to design inclusive and learner-centered activities leveraging technology and critically evaluate their designs using an evidence-based rubric, fostering equitable access and participation for all learners. They will emerge with draft blueprints that they can adapt once they leave the course.
What Does The Session Cover?
1. Recall the key considerations of the UDL principles for designing inclusive learning for all.
2. State instructional strategies for providing multiple means of engagement, representation, and action and expression.
Skills-based learning objectives: what participants will be able to do at the end of the workshop (their application)
1. Use at least three digital tools from different categories for the enactment of UDL principles.
2. Apply UDL principles to design inclusive and learner-centred learning activities using technology.
3. Evaluate the learning design using an evidence-based rubric.
^ Assessment: Formative Assessment(s), Assignments/Presentations/Practical Performances)
^ Completion: Upon 100% attendance and meeting Assessment requirement, learners will receive a Certificate of Participation from IAL (& other partners where applicable)

- Adult Educators/Facilitators and Instructional Designers: Those actively involved in designing and delivering training programs for adult learners in various settings will gain practical strategies to enhance engagement and cater to diverse learning needs. They will also acquire valuable frameworks and tools to build more inclusive and accessible learning experiences from the outset.
- Workforce Development Specialists/Learning and Development Leaders: Individuals focused on upskilling and reskilling initiatives within organisations or government agencies will find this program instrumental in designing effective and equitable training for a diverse workforce. Those overseeing and implementing professional development programs within organisations will be equipped to enhance the inclusivity and impact of their offerings through technology-enhanced UDL strategies.
- Education Technology Specialists in Adult Learning: Professionals whose role involves integrating technology into adult education programs will gain deeper insights into leveraging digital tools to support UDL principles and improve learning outcomes.
Course Funding and Policies
Payment
Please proceed to make payment via eNets/credit card (VISA or MasterCard) at the end of the registration process. Kindly note that the system will automatically cancel the registration if full payment has not been successfully processed by 11.59pm (Singapore Time) on the same day of the registration. You will have to reapply for the course, subject to availability of vacancy at the point of your re-registration.
Additional Funding Available, If Applicable
Singaporeans aged 25 years old and above are eligible for SkillsFuture Credit which can be used to offset the selected programmes' fees for self-sponsored registrations only.
Please note the submission period for your SFC claim via MySkillsFuture needs to be within 60 days before the course start date (date inclusive). If your course start date is more than 60 days from the date of SFC application, the SSG-SFC portal would reject your application. In this case, you would need to pay the full course fees at the end of your course application.
Rescheduling
Request for rescheduling must be submitted to IAL 2 weeks before the commencement of programme. Reschedule requests that come mid-way through training has to be supported by valid reasons; substantiated by references as evidence; such as a doctor's note; or a hospitalization chit.

Withdrawal
Request for withdrawal from a programme is subjected to review by IAL and the decision is final. IAL reserves the right to request for supporting document(s). A non-refundable administration fee of S$54.50 w/GST ($50) is applicable for withdrawal request. If the withdrawal notice is given less than 2 weeks before the programme start date, the paid fees will not be refunded.
Corporate Run
For dedicated corporate runs with a contract signed with IAL, billing and payment will follow the terms of the signed contract. Otherwise, payment would be expected upon registration.
