How Can I Apply?
Applicants can choose between two application tracks:
- AI-Assisted Application, read more below [only applicable for AITP Role Badge]
- Non-AI-Assisted Application (no AI involved, human assessor throughout)
Both routes follow the same competency standards, rigor and assessment criteria.
AI-Assisted Application
Purpose
The purpose of the AI-Assisted Application route is to enhance the efficiency, consistency, and quality of the assessment process. It is implemented to support, not replace, professional judgement. All final assessment outcomes remain under the authority of qualified human assessors.
Intended Use
The AI system is used to support the human assessor in the preliminary review of application submissions. Assessment form, portfolio, and evidence received by IAL will be reviewed by a human assessor and processed through the AI system for gap analysis and preliminary evaluation. Applicants who apply through the AI-assisted route will still be required to participate in Stage 1 Advisory Session and Stage 2 Assessment Interview, where human assessors will validate and clarify the submitted evidence.
The AI system will NOT:
- Determine the final assessment result
- Replace the role of human assessors
- Provide certification decisions
- Retain participant data (all processed data will be purged after the Skills Credentialling process).
- Be trained using your data.
- All final decisions are made by trained assessors in accordance with the Skills Credentialling framework.
Non-AI-Assisted Application
Applicants may opt for a fully manual, non-AI assessment in which a human assessor reviews the evidence and provides guidance. This option will result in a longer processing time and additional costs.

Frequently Asked Questions
The non-AI-assisted route involves manual evidence screening by an assessor.
Both routes follow the same assessment standards and criteria.
The AI-assisted route uses an AI-assisted system to perform an initial review of your application and supporting documents against the assessment rubrics. The system helps to identify gaps, missing information, or areas that may require clarification at an early stage.
The non-AI-assisted route involves a fully manual review of your submitted evidence by an assessor without the use of the AI-assisted system. As the review is conducted entirely by an assessor, the time taken to receive feedback may be longer and will depend on the assessor’s workload and case volume.
Both routes follow the same assessment standards, criteria, and quality assurance requirements, and the use of AI does not affect the final assessment outcome.
