This study explores the critical role of lifelong learning in equipping adult educators with future-ready capabilities amidst a rapidly evolving work landscape. Drawing on data from Singapore’s first nationwide survey of adult educators, the research examines how personal and environmental factors—such as age, education, beliefs, self-efficacy, employment status, and professional development support—shape their engagement in both work-related and non-work-related learning. The findings underscore the importance of informal learning and advocate for a more holistic approach to professional development. By integrating diverse learning contexts and influences, the study offers a comprehensive framework to better support adult educators in their continuous learning journeys.
