We wanted to develop our staff to perform their jobs better. This L&D initiative was customised to our business needs.

Murtuza Ibrahim Topiwalla, Director

The journey was eye opening for us. We are focusing on improving the onboarding process to make it more efficient. Our goal is to eventually create a self-service onboarding experience for clients, where they can complete the process on their own using the user guides or videos available within the system.

Rashida Patanwala, Customer Service Manager

We found the loopholes and how to improve further on our process. We found some of the knowledge-based recommendations very helpful and meaningful.

Opportunities for Improvement

While the organisation has made significant strides in workforce transformation through the NACE@IAL consultancy initiative, opportunities for further enhancement were identified:

Firstly, there is potential to expand the scope of programs to bring emerging technologies and digital skills, preparing employees for future challenges in the industry.

Additionally, fostering a stronger feedback mechanism could help identify specific areas where staff require additional support, enhancing the overall effectiveness of learning and development initiatives.

Lastly, creating more collaborative learning environments could promote knowledge sharing and peer learning, further embedding a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organisation.

The Solution

To address these challenges, the consultancy project worked on designing a series of tailored  program that focuses on enhancing the skills, capabilities and learning needs of their workforce. These initiatives included:

  • Diverse Training Formats: Workshops on self-management tools, professional development seminars, and hands-on training sessions.
  • Growth Mindset Development: Program aimed at instilling resilience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to learning.
  • Feedback and Collaboration: Regular feedback loops and collaborative learning opportunities to reinforce continuous improvement and innovation.

These initiatives equipped employees with essential skills, fostered a growth mindset, and enabled them to adapt to evolving industry requirements.

The Results

The NACE@IAL consultancy initiative led to measurable and significant improvements:

  • Increased Productivity: A 20% boost attributed to the adoption of self-management tools and enhanced workplace learning practices.
  • Higher Retention Rates: Growth mindset workshops contributed to a 15% improvement in employee retention rates.
  • Operational Efficiency: Tailored training programs reduced errors by 10%, driving better outcomes.

These results not only enhanced workforce capabilities but also positioned Metro Group for sustainable growth and long-term success.
