With the COVID-19 pandemic hitting local shores, many organisations were forced to shift their training online. PAP Community Foundation (PCF) was no exception, as the organisation found it challenging to onboard new employees into the workplace through online learning. In support of this objective, PCF embarked on a NACE@IAL initiative in 2020.
Achievements
The project team together with support from Management and inputs from IAL's Certified Workplace Learning Specialist, achieved the following:- Built internal capabilities to develop interactive and relevant e-learning training content
- Confidence to guide team mates in developing interactive storyboards through the sharing of knowledge and skills obtained from the project
- Received positive feedback from learners who found the lessons interesting, applicable, and easy to understand
"To ensure business and learning continuity, and control the spread of COVID-19 within the community, we leveraged on our Learning Management System (LMS) to host a series of online programs, with the inclusion of induction program for our employees who are working from home. To help our staff have a better online engagement, PCF’ s Learning and Development Team collaborated with NACE@IAL to leverage on their expertise to produce highly interactive learning content. NACE@IAL was quick to grasp and understand who our target audience are, and customised learning solutions to our needs. They made it very easy for us to work together."
- Mr. Edison Ng Deputy Director, Learning and Development
"Though the learning curve at the initial stage was quite steep for the Project Team, it was a very positive and fabulous learning experience. We look forward to work with other stakeholders to create engaging, creative and meaningful e-learning content."
- Ms. Jacqueline Wong Manager, Learning & Development

To better enable its employees to embrace and adopt technology and have the expertise to design engaging training programs, PCF's Project Team embarked on a workplace transformation journey with the aim to reduce barriers to understanding and increase information retention rate of learners. This was done through the following:- Evaluation of current elearning assets in Learning Management System (LMS)
