Course Overview
The Institute for Adult Learning has enhanced our Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP), introducing the WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance 2.0 (ACLP 2.0). This refreshed programme offers updated content and a restructured curriculum to better equip participants with relevant skills for our current Training and Adult Education (TAE) landscape. Upon completion of the programme, participants are encouraged to continuously upskill themselves with available Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses to embark on their lifelong learning journey.

Upon completion of the programme, you will be issued with a WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance from SkillsFuture Singapore which can be obtained through MySkillsFuture Portal.
This programme is offered by the Institute for Adult Learning (IAL), an autonomous institute of the Singapore University of Social Sciences (UEN: 200504979Z) (SUSS).
Note:
If you have attained the WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA), you will continue to be recognised as meeting SkillsFuture Singapore's Adult Education qualifications requirements for Adult Educators to function as Trainers and Assessors for SSG-Funded WSQ and non-WSQ Certifiable courses.
If you are seeking credit exemption for any modules in ACLP 2.0. Please refer to the Credit Exemption information here. Please note the following:
- All credit exemption requests must be submitted and approved before programme enrollment.
- No course fee refunds will be provided once the programme has commenced, even if credit exemption is subsequently approved.

Modules
The WSQ Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance 2.0 programme consists of 3 modules.
52 hours
Develop your knowledge, abilities and dispositions to effectively acquire facilitation and assessment skills in the context of Singapore's Skills Framework model.
The module is delivered and assessed in an integrated approach, building on the Technical Skills and Competencies of Skills Framework Adoption (SFA), Learning Experience Delivery (LED) and Assessment Design and Implementation (ADI).

Develop your knowledge, abilities, and dispositions to facilitate a technology-enabled learning experience for adult learners.
The module is designed with a what, who, where, when, why and how (5W1H) approach, and delivered and assessed in an integrated approach, building on the Technical Skills and Competencies of Learner Profile Analysis and Technology-Enabled Learning Delivery.

Equip yourself with the necessary experience to develop, plan and execute a simple workplace learning experience.
This module aims to equip a workplace trainer with a sequential framework for planning and conducting workplace learning activities.
Entry Requirements
- Have good English proficiency (English language at GCE 'O' Level of C6 and above, or Workplace Literacy skills of Level 6 and above)
- Please refer to the table below for acceptable alternatives:
- Possess appropriate level subject matter specialisation and industry experience, relevant for the design, facilitation and assessment of learning
- Minimum 2 years in the domain expertise
- Possess strong information and communication technology (ICT) skills including:
a. Sourcing for relevant information and materials from the workplace, library, internet and online databases
b. Using word processing and presentation software for report writing and presentation
- Be able to source and analyse relevant materials from the workplace, library, internet and online databases for design and development of learning resources
- Applicants are responsible for preparing and submitting the relevant documentations pertaining to the programme Entry Requirements upon enrolment.
- Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements or fail to submit the required documents will be withdrawn from the programme and notified two weeks before the course commencement date.
Completion Requirements
- Learners are required to meet a minimum attendance of 75% per programme module
- Attain a "C" (Competent) grade for all modules. In lieu of a "Competent" grade, a credit exemption issued for that module is also acceptable
Fees and Fundings
The fee is inclusive of prevailing GST and subject to changes.

- For each module, you must achieve at least 75% attendance, and successfully attain a ‘Competent’ (C) grading for the final assessment result.

SkillsFuture Credit
- Only self-sponsored learners can use SkillsFuture Credit.
- You can use SkillsFuture Credit, SkillsFuture Credit Top-Up to offset the fees. Please note that SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support) is not applicable.

Mandatory e-Attendance via Singpass App from 1 October 2023
- Singaporean Citizens/Permanent Residents are required to set up your Singpass account and download the Singpass App prior to course commencement.
- Learners will have to submit a reschedule request, with an applicable fee, if they are unable to do so.
- Please be present in class (physical and online) 15 minutes before the scheduled lesson time on the actual day and have the following ready:
- Smart device (e.g., smartphone or iPad) with a functioning camera.
- Singpass mobile app installed on the smart device.
- Login credentials for the Singpass App.
Payment Advisory for Self-sponsored and Company-sponsored Applicants
- You will be required to make the course fee payment via eNets/credit card (VISA or MasterCard) and/or SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) - (applicable for self-sponsored learners) at the end of the registration process. Please note that the system will automatically cancel the registration if full payment (including SFC, where applicable) has not been successfully processed by 11.59pm (Singapore Time) on the same day of the registration. You will have to reapply for the course, subject to seat availability at the point of re-registration.
