What is TAEPP?
The Training and Adult Educator Professional Pathway (TAEPP) is developed by the Institute for Adult Learning (IAL) with the support of SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) to further professionalise the Training and Adult Education (TAE) sector. The TAEPP provides a structured pathway for the skills development of Adult Educators (AEs) in delivering quality Continuing Education and Training (CET).
The National Adult Educator Registry, under the TAEPP framework, serves as the national benchmark to ensure the quality of AEs. From 1st Apr 2026 , AEs who wish to deliver SSG-supported training will be required to be on the Registry.
Objectives of TAEPP
TAEPP supports three key shifts in the TAE landscape to ensure the quality of AEs:
- Establish a national database for AEs to log CPD hours, record practice hours, and monitor their progress.

- Enable more expert practitioners to serve as AEs, allowing learners to benefit from their direct industry experience.
