What Is The Session About?

In the wake of globalisation, adult educators are increasingly required to cater to a diverse body of learners from various cultural backgrounds. Expanding adult education services internationally presents a wealth of opportunities for growth and enrichment. This expansion allows AEs to tap into new markets, broaden their learner base, and learn from international best practices. It is, however, critical to navigate the challenges inherent in internationalisation, such as understanding local cultural norms, language barriers, and adapting to different education systems and regulations.

Successful overseas expansion will necessitate robust planning, strategic partnerships, and a flexible, adaptable approach to deliver quality education that resonates with diverse learner populations.

What Does The Session Cover?

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

Understand the potential challenges and barriers to internationalisation in education, such as cultural norms and language barriers

Formulate a robust plan for expansion, including strategic partnerships and adpating to different education systems and regulations
