What Is The Session About?

Embark on an interactive journey exploring emerging issues in workplace learning. Review the insights and potential industry-specific challenges while navigating the affordances in the ever-evolving workplace. 

Join us in a dialogue forum to examine the key challenges in facilitating learning at and through work and share examples of innovative responses to those challenges.

Explore emerging issues from workplace Learning
Identify useful and applicable practices from specific organisations

Who Is It Suitable For?

  • Adult Education: Individuals who are involved in learning design, curriculum development, learning facilitation, assessment of learning competence, learning technology integration and/or providing consultancy and advisory services to drive business performance.
  • Learning Management: Individuals who are involved in management and support of learning programmes, systems and technology management and implementation, quality assurance of learning programmes and/or driving business development.

Since 2007, Cynthia has been actively involved in the training of trainers and consultants in the facilitation process and curriculum design skills. Besides training and development, she also work with organisations to develop their innovation capacity and coach individuals transitioning through their career and life changes.

Professor Sarojni Choy has expertise in vocational and continuing education with a strong record of leadership in research, teaching, management, industry engagement, and policy at National, State and Institutional levels. Her research focus includes workplace learning, practice-based learning, continuing education and training, integration of learning in different sites, and workforce development. She draws on how adults learn to develop their knowledge, skills and attributes for productive work, thereby contribute to personal, social and economic outcomes. These areas of interest have relevance to reforms relevant to contemporary industries and societies across the globe. Her research has strong implications for practice-based and lifelong learning for workers to remain employed and employable in emerging economies. Prof. Choy's area of research investigations is informed through a combination of positivist and interpretive paradigms. Her leadership in research is demonstrated by a record of successful activities comprising academic publications, securing research funding, editorship of international journals, and developing novice researchers. Prof. Choy has successfully delivered a range of professional development programmes to develop learning leaders locally, nationally and internationally.
