The Workshop Method is dynamic and inclusive approach to group facilitation that engages empowers participants to collaborate, innovate and make informed decisions. It is grounded in the belief that every individual has valuable contributions to make, and the method provides a structured framework to harness collective wisdom. At its core, The Workshop Method emphasizes active participation, dialogue, respect for diverse perspectives and consensus-building. These processes are designed to unlock creativity, encourage open communication, and foster a sense of ownership among participants. 


This course aims to elevate your facilitation excellence through The Workshop Method to combine idea generation, small group work, and clustering to collect, organise, and label information.

What Is The Session About?

The course emphasizes the Technology of Participation (ToP) Workshop Method's commitment to creating a safe and respectful space for all voices to be heard by employing a variety of visual and interactive tool. Facilitators trained in this method guide groups through structured processes such as brainstorming ideas, clustering-organising, naming consensus-building, and reflection to address complex situations.
 

This one-day course structure involves demonstration and explanation, allowing participants to experience, observe, and ask questions for clarity. It includes small group preparation, group simulations for hands-on practice with real-life scenarios, facilitator feedback, method application discussions for real challenges in their work or project, and reflection on the day's experiences.

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
 

Converge group's emerging ideas into decisions that everyone can own and support using the Technlogy of Participation Workshop Method 
 
Apply the Workshop Method (of combining idea generation, small group work, clustering to collect, organise and label info.) to a variety of workplace situations 
 

Who Is It Suitable For?

  • HR Professionals and OD Consultants, and who lead process that involve planned change efforts to increase organisation health
  • Organisation Leaders, and Managers who want to design and lead process that involve planned interventions to enhance organisational effectiveness
  • Learning Facilitators who want to help work teams, project groups, management teams; and who want to become better at diagnosing and facilitating assignments or special purpose meetings. And Adult Educators aspiring to do less of content interventions, more of process facilitation, providing the structure in getting groups to assume responsibility and own their own solutions.

Payment

Please proceed to make payment via eNets/credit card (VISA or MasterCard) at the end of the registration process. Kindly note that the system will automatically cancel the registration if full payment has not been successfully processed by 11.59pm (Singapore Time) on the same day of the registration. You will have to reapply for the course, subject to availability of vacancy at the point of your re-registration.


Additional Funding Available, If Applicable

Singaporeans aged 25 years old and above are eligible for SkillsFuture Credit which can be used to offset the selected programmes' fees for self-sponsored registrations only.


Please note the submission period for your SFC claim via MySkillsFuture needs to be within 60 days before the course start date (date inclusive). If your course start date is more than 60 days from the date of SFC application, the SSG-SFC portal would reject your application. In this case, you would need to pay the full course fees at the end of your course application.


This course is UTAP funded too!


Rescheduling

Request for rescheduling it must be submitted to IAL 2 weeks before the commencement of programme. Reschedule requests that come mid-way through training has to be supported by valid reasons; substantiated by references as evidence; such as a doctor's note; or a hospitalization chit.


Please submit your request to reschedule your course at MyIAL. A non-refundable administrative fee of S$54.00 w/GST ($50) applies for the request and the next available slot will be offered


Withdrawal

Request for withdrawal from a programme is subjected to review by IAL and the decision is final. IAL reserves the right to request for supporting document(s). A non-refundable administration fee of S$54.00 w/GST ($50) is applicable for withdrawal request. If the withdrawal notice is given less than 2 weeks before the programme start date, the paid fees will not be refunded.


Corporate Run

For dedicated corporate runs with a contract signed with IAL, billing and payment will follow the terms of the signed contract. Otherwise, payment would be expected upon registration.
