Yong Liang researches on employment vulnerability, skills development, and lifelong learning in the context of evolving labour market conditions. His work focuses on understanding how workplace practices, learning behaviours, and changing work arrangements shape employability, career progression, and worker well-being. He is particularly interested in workplace discrimination and harassment, as well as the role of reskilling and upskilling in supporting workforce resilience across different worker cohorts. His current research examines employment vulnerability, diverse work arrangements, and individuals’ motivation toward learning. He also contributes to research under the Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC), supporting analysis of adult skills and their use in work and everyday life. Yong Liang holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
