Abstract: "In today's fast-paced world, the ability to learn efficiently is crucial for individuals and organizations. Microlearning, which delivers impactful learning in bite-sized, engaging formats, is proven effective for workplace learning online and performance optimization. However, designing effective microlearning experiences remains challenging due to inconsistent guidelines and rapid developments in technology. To address these gaps, we conducted a systematic review of literature from the past ten years using ERIC and Google Scholar to generate a framework of principles for effective microlearning. We synthesized these into a checklist encompassing four broad categories: organization of content, characteristics of content, support for learners, and learning system features. Furthermore, we aligned this checklist with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles to ensure engaging, inclusive, and accessible learning ."
