Ms Tan Jia Yi is Deputy Director (Capability Development & Internationalisation) at the Centre for Skills-First Practices, Institute for Adult Learning. In her current role, she leads a team focused on building institutional capability to adopt and implement skills-first practices.
Her work focuses on designing and deliver scalable capability development approaches, including translating national jobs and skills data into practical guidance that workforce ecosystem players—such as organisations, policymakers, and training providers—can use to plan and design relevant programmes and policies, as well as supporting organisational transformation initiatives such as work redesign.
She also advances the Centre’s internationalisation agenda through regional and global engagement, fostering cross-country learning and partnerships to enable the adaptation of skills-first approaches across diverse labour market contexts.
