As the Director of the Learning and Professional Development Division (LPDD), Samson leads IAL's efforts to drive the development of adult education, the adoption of workplace learning, and the professionalisation of Continuing Education and Training (CET) professionals in the Training and Adult Education (TAE) sector.

In his previous role at Civica, Samson was responsible for strategising new business initiatives, education innovations and solutions for the company's education business in the region. Having held various roles in the education sector, Samson's portfolio included driving learning innovations as the Head of Centre in Innovation in Learning at the National Institute of Education and leading the development of continuing education and digitalisation of learning at Republic Polytechnic.

Samson holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of Western Australia, a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Hull and a Bachelor of Science double major in Physics from the National University of Singapore, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National Institute of Education.
