The WDARF is a national level research fund set up by the SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) to encourage inter-disciplinary research in the areas of workforce development and lifelong learning. In setting up the research fund, SSG seeks to support evidence-informed policies and best-in-class practices that are underpinned by high quality, reliable and responsive workforce development research.
Administered by the Institute for Adult Learning (IAL), the grant is awarded through an open, competitive bidding approach, where submitted proposals go through a technical expert review and evaluation, before they are presented to a Research Committee for approval.
The WDARF Grant Call April 2020 is seeking proposals under three research thrusts:
1. Enabling and Sustaining Economic Performance through Workforce Development and Skills;
2. Shaping Employment and Continuing Education and Training (CET) Decisions of All Stakeholders; and
