The WDARF is a national level research fund to encourage inter-disciplinary research in the areas of workforce development and lifelong learning. Administered by IAL, the grant is awarded through an open, competitive bidding approach, including a technical expert review and a Research Committee to evaluate and approve the research proposals to be funded. The grant call is open from 1 April 2019 to 14 August 2019 and submissions should be made on the official application form and submitted via email to email@example.com.
The WDARF Grant Call April 2019 is seeking proposals under three research thrusts:
1. Enabling and Sustaining Economic Performance through Workforce Development and Skills;
2. Shaping Employment and Continuing Education and Training (CET) Decisions of All Stakeholders; and
3. Developing Effective and Impactful Approaches in Learning, Technology and Pedagogy to Enhance Continuing Education and Training (CET).

The grant call is open to Singapore institutions including tertiary institutions and training providers, social and industry groups, as well as Government bodies with research units. Foreign institutions and researchers may partner these institutions to submit proposals for the grant call. A research team putting in a proposal can include foreign researchers as Principal Investigators or a member of the team. Foreign researchers will need to be hosted by a Singapore Institution.
All submitted proposals will be evaluated by an expert panel appointed by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG). The proposals and inputs from the expert panel will be submitted to the SSG Research Committee for selection and approval.
Successful proposals which are accepted and approved by the SSG Research Committee will be notified by Q1 2020.
